No world tours for our wallets: we only produce locally

We are careful when it comes to choosing partners. Why? By only using products that are 100% made in Europe and working with suppliers who are as close to home as possible, we take a big bite out of the transport distance needed to get our products to our users. We look at where the craftsmanship is, and we were lucky to find that our highest standards for quality are met within our own country: the Netherlands.

How we minimize our waste

When we work on our wallets, we make sure we measure twice, so we know exactly how much of the leather or other fabrics we need. That way, we can minimize the amount of product we have to throw away due to mistakes. Also, we try to craft as many wallets from a single piece of leather as we can possibly fit. The less scraps we create, the less resources we need.

A special collab: from scraps to wallets

Some might say that a little scratch is the personal story of a wallet. But this is a big reason for some of our produced Cardprotectors to be unsellable. We needed a solution for this, because why waste a perfectly good card holder? That is when we met FREITAG - a match that was bound to be made. We have combined our upcycled Cardprotectors with used truck tarps to create a unique and distinctive wallet. It is slightly different from our traditional Slimwallet, because this beautiful collaboration deserved its own design. The reinvented Moneyflap creates a whole new interior, and there is enough space for extra cards on the inside. You can even clip your keys or a charm to your wallet! As mentioned before, we also speak highly of good labor standards. Over 100 talented people are working hard and with a lot of passion to assemble every single wallet by hand. From the sewing workshop in Leiden to the sheltered workshops in Leiden, Delft and Haarlem: they use their craftsmanship to create wallets that last a lifetime. In the Netherlands alone, we are proud to say we have created over 200 jobs in safe workshops with great labor standards.
