Tips and tricks

You can clean the Cardprotector with a soft cloth and soap and rinse it with warm water. However, the salt in seawater can affect the metals, so we recommend rinsing the Cardprotector with fresh water after contact with salt water. Make sure the mechanism is dry before using your wallet again.

The Cardprotector is made of anodised aluminium, plastic and stainless steel and is water repellent.

The Cardprotector is made of anodised aluminium, plastic and stainless steel and is impervious to water.

No regular maintenance needed. If your wallet gets dirty, the best way to clean it will depend on the type of leather the wallet is made of.

By revealing only a portion of the cards, the sensitivity for the radio signal is substantially reduced but sufficient for contact over short distances.

Keep your cards protected 

Use the card at the back for contactless payment without taking it out of your wallet. This way you can pay even faster and more securely, because the card is also protected during use.

The Cardprotector is not suitable for paper cards, because they can jam the mechanism. However, your Miniwallet provide space for paper cards, cash and receipts.

Keeping business cards

It fits easily. Carrying a wallet in your back pocket can lead to an incorrect seated position, which can result in back problems and inflammation of muscles or nerves.

Carry it  in the front

The higher the number of cards with embossed details, the fewer cards the Cardprotector can hold in total. Its mechanism also works with just one card.

In spite of their compact size, our wallets can hold a surprisingly large number of notes, using two methods.

We continue our journey to a zero carbon footprint.

The Cardprotectors are placed one by one on a large rack and blown dust-free.

First step of production

A container of coloured powder is connected to a manually operated spray gun, with which the powder is blown with low pressure in the direction of the profiles.

Second step of production

The rack with the Cardprotectors arrives at a second spraying station.

Third step of production

Before the rack enters the drying room, it is checked whether all Cardprotectors are completely covered with powder and free of dust particles.

Fourth step of production

In the drying room, the profiles are heated to 180 degrees Celsius, causing the powder particles to melt together to form a hard protective layer that adheres well.

Fifth step of production

The racks are collected and ready for transport to Paswerk: the sheltered workshop where the profiles are checked one more time before being fitted with the internal mechanism.

Finding a new purpose

We have combined the upcycled Cardprotectors with used truck tarps to create a new distinctive wallet. The unique method of production and design makes the F705 SECRID × FREITAG wallet different from our characteristic Slimwallet styles. The new interior has a redesigned Moneyflap and enough space for extra cards, receipts and even a good-luck charm or key. As always, the Cardprotector provides easy access and protection.
