No world tours for our wallets: we only produce locally

We are very picky when it comes to selecting our partners because our commitment to exclusively utilise items crafted entirely within Europe, and collaborate with suppliers situated in close proximity is very dear to us. This strategic choice significantly reduces the transportation distance required to deliver our products to users like you. In our search for the best craftsmanship, we have discovered that the talent needed to create our card holders can be found in our own homeland: the Netherlands.

How we minimise our waste

Measure twice, cut once – this is a principle we hold dear within our production process. In order to create our wallets with minimal waste, we have learned exactly how much fabric or leather we need. This means we have a very low amount of waste due to mistakes. We also try to cut as many wallets out of a single sheet of leather as possible to minimise the amount of scraps we create and subsequently the amount of resources we need. If certain unavoidable defects happen in the production process of our aluminium card holders, we upcycle them instead of melting the material. We do this for example with our Powder Collection.

A special collab: from scraps to wallets

Some would say a minor scratch to be the storyteller of each individual wallet. However, small scratches are a big reason why some of our Cardprotectors are considered unsellable. Since this idea does not fit with our mission to minimise waste, we have sought a solution. After all, why on earth would we throw away a perfectly good Cardprotector? That is where FREITAG came into the picture. With them as our partner, we are able to upcycle all of our dismissed Cardprotectors with a nanolaser and combine them with their used truck tarps - creating a wallet with a unique aesthetic. The best thing about this collection is that each and every wallet is truly one-of-a-kind. Since this partnership is so dear to us, we knew it deserved its own design. We took our original Slimwallet and reinvented it with a whole new interior. More space and the ability to clip your keys or a charm to the wallet. As previously noted, good labour standards are very important to us. A dedicated team of more than 100 talented individuals apply their passion and expertise to meticulously hand-assemble each wallet. From the sewing atelier in Leiden to the sheltered workshops situated in Leiden, Delft, and Haarlem, these artisans channel their craft into creating durable, sustainable wallets. Exclusively within the Netherlands, we take immense pride in having created over 200 job opportunities within secure workshops where we uphold great labour standards for all.
