During Dutch Design Week we shine a spotlight on 7 talented designers. Creatives whose product designs are boosting the evolution of their industry. In addition to a podium spot, each designer receives coaching and a cash prize of €7,777: a reference to our 7 design principles for holistic product design.

With the invention of our Cardwallet, in 2009, we changed the wallet market. Since then, we are continuously working to improve our designs further. For instance, we conduct extensive material research related to leather and leather alternatives. Below our colleagues Sam, Danielle and Bente share our journey, including the sustainability dilemmas we have encountered. You are invited to think along, in order to arrive at better solutions.
Dutch Design Foundation and What Design Can Do are two mission-driven partners who, like Secrid, believe in design as a force for good. Together we support talented designers through coaching, funding and providing a valuable network.

Design Challenge
WDCD organizes design challenges to solve the biggest social dilemmas of our time. The winning teams will receive access to a professional development program, receive a cash prize and can count on valuable publicity through the channels of all partners.
